The High Regent has called members of each royal vampire family to council. Katrina Von Dracek wonders what this will mean to her. Does the council really intend to start a new coven in the Americans or is there something else? All Katrina's vampire senses tell her evil is around them and that she will be the one called upon to save them all.

My Thoughts
Being a book about Vampires, I expected Katina: The Beginning to be very not original. But I was wrong. This book definitely differentiates against all the other vampire books. It's like reading a book from a different time, not very modern at all. That what I though was great about it.

Elizabeth creates a world of action, romance and thrill. You wouldn't guess what will happen next. It always keeps you wanting to read more. It was a wonder I finished reading this book in a matter of hours.

I always thought that there will be a happily ever after with Quinn and Katrina. I was shocked when she started having feelings for Damien. Although Damien is nice in his own way, I prefer Quinn. Quinn's character is very alluring and when I read about his looks I can only conclude to say he is hot :)

I found this book to be quite similar to Vampire Diaries so if you love The Vampire Diaries. This book should definitely be on your to-read list.

I enjoyed reading this book so I really cannot wait to start reading the next book in the series! A gripping read.

  1. Great review, I really like the sound of this one :) I haven't read TVD yet but I do have the first book here.

  2. Hey thanks for the review. I love these books

  3. I, too, loved this book and read it straight through, purchased the 2nd book "the protectors" and read it straight throught. I'm reading "The Dark Prince" now. I'm making it last because although I've heard that there is another book coming out around in time for Christmas, I haven't seen anything about it yet.

Have any of you heard when the next book will be coming out and what it will be called?

I loved these characters, the way that the author takes you though the locations and the descriptions of the times. These girls "kick butt" great roll models!

Put Elizabeth Loraine on your "definately read" list.

  4. Well, I am reading a reviewer copy of Cain and it will hopefully be out by Christmas. it's going through the final editing stages.

  8. I've never heard of this but I really like the idea of a historical vampire tale. Neat! I'll be putting this on my list. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  9. I'm getting REALLY tired of vampire books. I love Twilight, but still, vampires are old!

  10. Hmm, I think I might check this one out

  11. I have read all 6 books within a 2 week period on my Kindle Fire and was wondering if there will be something after Legacy to be released???? It doesn't seem like the series is finished and I'm hooked to say the least!!!!!!! Please say there is something in the works .....
