A 'Compulsory' Break
Hey everyone!
Something really bad has befallen upon myself and my other blog members. :O And it's not about books LOL. In other words, EXAMS :(
Got you! Right? Didn't think so ;D
So you can figure what comes next 'we need a break' like Ross the wise once said on Friends. Timeout.
It's near the end of the acedemic year and yes I know WHAT A BUMMER!
It means that we won't be writing any posts for the next couple of months, or shall I say me. I seem to be on this blog more than any of the other blog members. I hope they're reading this! :L
I may as well give you guys a list of some books that are MUST reads and will be released while we're on our 'unfortunate break' and some which are going to be release later on this year...
Die for me by Amy Plum
I don't think there's much to say. Just look at the cover to die for!
Say no more ;)
Bite club by Rachel Caine
If you're not already reading this series. This I assure you, you're missing one hell of an adventure. Ghost Town left me brethless. Bite Club follows. Can't wait!
Invinvible by Sherrilyn Kenyon
This is the second book to the series. I havn't read the first one but I've heard many good things about it!
City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
Clare's books are just magic. I was so happy when I found out shes continuing the series! It's better to start from City of Bones if you want to give this series a try. Why shouldn't you? These books are great! :)
Everlasting by Alyson Noel
So, the Evermore series do drag on but this is the last book (finally) and I just need to know how everything ends.
Forever by Maggie Stiefvater
I love trilogies! And this is the last book of the 'Wolves of Mercy Falls'. Werewolves and love! A must read trilogy!
Lola and the boy next door by Stephanie Perkins
I absolutely LOVED Anna and the french kiss so after hearing about this companion novel, I just can't wait to get stuck into it!
Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer
Nightshade was awesomeness! Another wereworlf book :) You'll have to read it. Now, Wolfsbane is coming up! YES!
So many books, so little time...
Oh yes! And I've just added this cool gadget on the far right hand side bar where you can just generally chat, comment and if you have any concerns, it can go in there too!
Check it out!
Check it out!
Anyways, from me and from the other blog members.

It's been three years since the devastating accident ... three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever.
Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Julliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future - and each other.
Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.

My Thoughts:
EM WATTS IS GONE.
Emerson Watts didn't even want to go to the new SoHo Stark Megastore grand opening. But someone needed to look out for her sister, Frida, whose crush, British heartthrob Gabriel Luna, would be singing and signing autographs there-along with the newly appointed Face of Stark, teen supermodel sensation Nikki Howard.
How was Em to know that disaster would strike, changing her-and life as she'd known it-forever? One bizarre accident later, and Em Watts, always the tomboy, never the party princess, is no longer herself. Literally.
Now getting her best friend, Christopher, to notice that she's actually a girl is the least of Em's problems.
But what Em's pretty sure she'll never be able to accept might just turn out to be the one thing that's going to make her dream come true . . . .
NIKKI HOWARD IS HERE TO STAY.
Meg Cabot has done it again! What else can I possibly say? This is a fantastic start to a trilogy. I absolutely LOVED reading this. I am just amazed by her writing it's just fab fab fab. And that is no exaggeration. It is amazing.
The summary pretty much says it all. With that killer plot it has to be enthralling and yes in real life brain transplanting is not possible (well at least that's what I've heard) but Cabot has given us possibilities and situations that girls would love to be in. Or would they? After reading this books your views may just change!
There is definitely humour and how can there not be? Meg Cabot is just the queen of humour... and with humour there's love obviously. That's what I just love! Christopher! My heart just bleeds for him. so many exciting events happen.
You have just got to pick up this book and read it. Scratch that. Read every book Meg Cabot has written. They're all pieces of art!
Oh and did I mention that Christopher is HOT! HOT HOT HOT!

The fourth book in this electrifying vampire series has all the romance, suspense, and page-turning drama that have made Claudia Gray’s Evernight books runaway successes.
Having become what they feared most, Bianca and Lucas face a terrifying new reality. They must return to Evernight Academy, Lucas as a vampire and Bianca as a wraith. But Lucas is haunted by demons, both personal and supernatural. Bianca must help him fight the evil inside him, combat the forces determined to drive them apart—and find the power to claim her destiny at last.
Readers have fallen in love with Bianca and Lucas, and they will be thrilled to read this exciting conclusion to their romantic adventure...
My Thoughts
With this final installment of the Evernight series, I expected so much from Afterlife so I really really hoped the ending would be to my liking. Escpecially, seeing how the events in Hourglass had left me hanging. With Bianca being a WRAITH and VAMPIRE it was pretty hard to figure how everything would work out.
As soon as I started reading Afterlife I was instantly absorbed into book. Time was ticking away as Balthazar and Bianca were awaiting for the sun to set as that was the time Lucas would fully awaken. When Lucas came into being, there was struggle. I was reaaaallly shocked. It was scary the way Lucas was acting. He was so not himself so there was a lot of action there.
New decisions, ideas and thoughts have to be taken now. Lucas faces his mother not knowing whether she will accept him the way he is. A lot of breathtaking drama and fierce action passes by with many choices yet to make. I don't want to give anything away but Lucas's mum is a right little meanie! I have definetly grown to dislike her. A lot.
Lucas and Bianca are forced to then seek refuge to an enemy. I really did not expect this one coming. It was very strange and funny I have to admit though. Seeing as another side was portaryed of the enemy. Living under thier roof they fight they way around trying to live their life and uncover the most deadliest of secrets.
I really enjoyed the way the whole story was going. Personally, I didn't really like the ending I wanted a few adjustments. Thought, it was a fantastic finish to the series. Remarkable!

My Thoughts:
Lottie Biggs is recovering from her mental disorder of a significant nature with the help of her counsellor. She has a saturday job in a hairdresser and Gareth Stingecombe and his manly thighs are still the love of her life. When Gareth undoes his trousers, she comes to the realization that, unlike everyone else she knows, she is a virgin.
I love a bit of humour now and then. and boy does this book give all that. Its packed with humour and very often I couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Even though there is no legitamate plot the story is indeed consuming. Lottie's character is full of light and joy giving the book a positive and wholly positive outake.

It didn't seem as though anything astonishing would happen but there were parts in which I was like O.M.G! Especially the part where Lottie and Gareth are alone in the cinema. Lottie's distressing life is one of a kind- full of adventure and spintanous events.
I loved reading this book. It was very different from the usual genre I read. A definite recomendation for all those who love a laugh!
