After inheriting the dark Van Alen Legacy, Schuyler fled to Florence--with her forbidden love, Jack. Now the two of them must embark on the mission Schuyler was destined to complete: to find and protect the seven gates that guard earth from Lucifer, lord of the Silverbloods.
As the Blue Blood enclave weakens yet further, fate leads Schuyler closer to a terrifying crossroads--and a choice that will determine the destiny of all vampires.

My Thoughts
I fell in love with this series. It is outstanding! I just love Jack but sometimes I don't but whatever his character is a heartthrob. Go Schuyler and Jack! I adore their meetings that I re-read them a lot. Melissa sure knows how to get you teeth stuck into it ;)

It was such a beautiful read but also sad. There was lots of things going on so it was interesting. I was shocked to see that new characters came in but the old characters were enjoyable too. Oh yeah, there's also a PIRATE. It's so random in a book like this.
I don't like to mention spoilers but I just have to spill this out... Jack proposed to Schuyler and i was like OMG!

The book was split into parts with differnt points of view. Schuyler, Mimi then finally Demings. I really connect with Schuyler's character so I enjoyed reading her part the most escpecially the parts with her and Jack! Mimi is exciting to read about with her friendship with Oliver. Also, she simply trys to push all her feelings for Kingsley out of her mind but shes not successful as then she's back to her revenge for Jack. The only bad thing about the book is Demings. I mean she okay and all but it's like she's taking the place of Bliss.
I hate waiting. Need to read the next book!
