Rose Hathaway knows it is forbidden to love another guardian. Her best friend, Lissa-the last Dragomir princess-must always come first. Unfortunately, when it comes to gorgeous Dimitri Belikov, some rules are meant to be broken... But since making her first Strigoi kills, Rose hasn't been feeling right. Something dark has begun to grow in her mind, and ghostly shadows warn of a terrible evil drawing nearer to the Academy's iron gates. And now that Lissa and Rose's sworn enemy, Victor Dashkov, is on trial for his freedom, tensions in the Moroi world are higher than ever. Lying to Lissa about Dimitri is one thing but suddenly there's way more than friendship at stake. The immortal undead are on the prowl, and they want vengeance for the lives that Rose has stolen. In a heart-stopping battle to rival her worst nightmare, Rose will have to choose between life, love, and the two people who matter most..but will her choice mean that only one can survive?
My Thoughts
Shadow Kiss, the third addition to the Vampire Academy series, is as fiery and better as the last book. Full of light and brimming with power, this book will leave you breathless. And, as you can see I loved this book! Really epic stuff!

I love Rose and her kick ass character. I'll say she's one of the reasons why I love this series so much! Like always, she encounters many more challenges. With not being able to be the guardian she wants to be, a ruthless court trial, seeing things that no one would believe and facing the Strigoi once again... Shadow Kiss cannot possibly get more exhilarating.

Well, it can if we consider Dimitri. Can things get more hotter? I really love all the Rose and Dimitri scenes. They're perfect for one and other but as always something has to come in its way.

The ending is simply breathtaking and very much astonishing. Mead leaves us with an enormous cliffhanger making it even more anticipating yet pretty much fascinating. I can't begin to explain how awesome this series is. I am loving it even more as I read on the books. Get this series and expect to be blown away.

  1. this was my favourite book in the series i think but they are all stellar. I adore this book series. just brillant

  2. This book was action packed. And the ending was so painful. But it made me want to read the next three so bad. I'm currently on the fourth and it's getting even better.

  3. My seconde favorite book in the series.
I didn't read Last sacrifice yet though.
But as long as I am concern, Blood promise is the best.

  4. Each book is better than the last! I think Rose & Dimitri didn't have enough scenes throughout the whole series - that's just me :)

This is my fave series along with Morganville Vampires

  5. I can never out down the Vampire Academy, one I can always re-read just to see Rose and Dimitri battle their way together! :)

  6. I just finished the first book and I'm getting ready to start the second one - it's good to know that I will still be excited for this series at book 3! Thanks for a great review :)

  7. I'm reading Frostbite, I can't wait to finish this series! I LOVE IT!

  8. Words cannot express my love for this series, and I love that YOU are loving it. Seeing people get excited by something I love makes me seriously happy. Read the rest fast so you're ready for Bloodlines in a few weeks!

  9. This is the greatest series! I hope everyone reads it! Thanks for sharing the news.

  10. I really need to get around to reading the whole series, read like 4 and half of 5 haha, everyone tells me it's brilliant.
I love Rose's kick ass character too, makes us girls feel powerful! woop.
    Great review sweetie.

  11. I love this series! Rose is definitely my favorite character! :D I'm happy you liked this book! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  12. Definitely my favorite book out of the original VA series. Not necessarily because of the sex (but it helped!). I loved the action, the mystery, the loyalty, the passion, the love. Clearly Rose would do anything for her two loves. It's what I love most about her, even more than her badass-ness and tenacity. She's so fiercely loyal and protective. I really admire that about her. I love how Dimitri knows her better than anyone, even Lissa. The part where his voice breaks as he says "It isn't you" just broke my heart. I really felt the love he has for her, the fear that gripped him as she kind of went 'round the bend. Just fantastic.

And I know he's kind of obnoxious, but I adore Christian. His snark makes me happy and I'm super excited that he's not afraid of getting into the mix of battle. He's a good example to all the other Moroi. They need more people who are willing to fight for what they believe in. Just maybe people who aren't (literally) as hot tempered as he is. :D

  13. I've been meaning to start this series for what feels like forever. Everyone I talk to who have read it says its awesome. Thanks for the review!

  14. The ending to this book! I don't know how you haven't started the next one. I love this series to death!

  15. OHMYGOSH I BAWLED MY EYES OUT AT THE END OF THIS BOOK! I finished the series and love it, the series wraps up nice! :D

  16. I have yet to read any of this series but this really makes me want to start. It sounds awesome! I love when the main character is fun and awesome and I always love a good romance.

Really excited to pick this series up!
