When you're the daughter of the bestselling Queen of Romance, life should be pretty good. But 16-year-old Alice Amorous has been living a lie ever since her mother was secretly hospitalized for mental illness. After putting on a brave front for months, time is running out. The next book is overdue, and the Queen can't write it. Alice needs a story for her mother-and she needs one fast.
That's when she meets Errol, a strange boy who claims to be Cupid, who insists that Alice write about the greatest love story in history: his tragic relationship with Psyche. As Alice begins to hear Errol's voice in her head and see things she can't explain, she must face the truth-that she's either inherited her mother's madness, or Errol is for real.
My Thoughts
What can I say about Mad Love? As soon as I saw the title, I knew that I just had to read it. I wanted to see how 'Mad', 'Love' can actually get. Mad Love wasn't amazing or anything like that but I did enjoy reading it. It was a fun, light yet quick read.
Alice's mother is famous. She's known as the Queen of Romance because of her exceptional romance novels. Though, she's now in hospital and her next novel has to be written for publishing. Alice is now in a very sticky situation but then someone emerges, with the name Errol and he may possibly be able to help her out.
When I started reading Mad Love, I really enjoyed it. I love the pace. The new characters that were introduced and the problems that had arisen. Though, after a while, I felt that the story lost a bit of its touch for me. I should have known, seeing as the title is Mad Love so it would definitely relate to that!
Alice is bubbly and childish. She does some really funny things whilst crushing on a guy called Tony she sees very often. Their romance is very cute! Oh and Errol is quite nice too. He's kind of weird but that's to be expected when he claims to be something you wouldn't even imagine someone would actually claim to be.
Mad Love is truly a funny and amusing read!

She doesn't really know who she is or what she wants...
Corinna is a Folk Keeper. Her job is to keep the mysterious Folk who live beneath the ground at bay. But Corinna has a secret that even she doesn't fully comprehend, until she agrees to serve as Folk Keeper at Marblehaugh Park, a wealthy family's seaside manor. There her hidden powers burst into full force, and Corinna's life changes forever..
My Thoughts
I intsantly loved the cover to The Folk Keeper. It was one of the main reasons I picked it up. It's so very different to other covers of YA books. It has somthing magical to it. And do you know what? The Folk Keeper it self was truly magical.
Corinnna Stonewell. Gotta love her name! She's fifteen years old and an orphan. Although, she remains strong and is one hell of a charcter. However, there's something about her that's lost. Corinna has many quaestions. And so obiously, she wants some answers.
I loved how the Folk Kepper was written. The writing style was not modern but very unique and in a good way too. It was nice reading a book that's very different to many.
I really liked seeing how everything unraveled, how the story progressed and came to an end. I enjoyed the action, suspence oh and Finian! He's so nice :L ...A great tale with a great finish!

Zara and her friends knew they hadn't solved the pixie problem for good. Far from it. The king's needs grow deeper every day he's stuck in captivity, while his control over his people gets weaker. It's made him vulnerable. And now there's a new king in town.
A turf war is imminent, since the new pixie king, Astley, is moving in quickly. Nick nearly killed him in the woods on day one, but Zara came to his rescue. Astley swears that he and Zara are destined to be together, that he's one of the good guys. Nick isn't buying it, though Zara isn't as sure -- despite herself, she wants to trust the new king. But it's a lot more than her relationship with Nick that is at stake. It's her life -- and his.
My Thoughts
I was captivated! Captivate was just as good as Need. I completely finished this book in one sitting. It was so good! This is such a fun and enthralling series!
Jones took the plot to a completely different level. Something that I did not see coming at all. Especially, when we are introduced to Valhalla. I can't wait to see where this goes next.
I still love Zara. She is just like so awesome. And her boyfriend, Nick, to die for. He's like OMG so hot! They're such a perfect couple. Zara's friends, Devyn and Issie and great too and their romance is just really nice to read about.
I even like Astley, the pixie. No, I really think I love him, he's just so nice and I can't seem to not like him. Seriously, to the extent that I wouldn't even mind if Zara and Astley got together. No, I did not just say that! :P
Jones is a fantastic storyteller. The writing, the description and of course the story was fab. But, there were times where it was a bit slow paced far me, but I still liked reading it. I really hope Entice is just as great or even better!

Zara White suspects there's a freaky guy semi-stalking her. She's also obsessed with phobias. And it's true, she hasn't exactly been herself since her stepfather died. But exiling her to shivery Maine to live with her grandmother? That seems a bit extreme. The move is supposed to help her stay sane...but Zara's pretty sure her mom just can't deal with her right now.
She couldn't be more wrong. Turns out the semi-stalker is not a figment of Zara's overactive imagination. In fact, he's still following her, leaving behind an eerie trail of gold dust. There's something not right - not human - in this sleepy Maine town, and all signs point to Zara.
In this creepy, compelling breakout novel, Carrie Jones delivers romance, suspense, and a creature you never thought you'd have to fear
My Thoughts
Need was a book I devoured. I knew from the very first page that I would love it. The whole story line and everything was absolutely up to scratch.
I love Zara. I love her name. It's quite cliche how she moves to a new school and all but that didn't matter at all. The events that followed and the action that had occurred was indeed mind blowing.
Nick is just awesome. I love his personality and character. He's just really great! I just knew whilst reading about him that he would be the one and also his transformation in front of Zara and the moment and everything was so cute!
One thing that I absolutely loved was how Jones included phobias that Zara suffered from. I loved reading each and every one! It was great to learn more and understand more about Zara's character.
Jones created a world of suspense and drama as it kept me engaged and wanting to read more and more. It is a entertaining and quick read. I have to read more, and so I await for Captivate!

Elsewhere is where 15-year-old Liz Hall ends up, after she has died. It is a place so like Earth, yet completely different from it. Here Liz will age backward from the day of her death until she becomes a baby again and returns to Earth. Is it possible that a life lived in reverse is no different from a life lived forward?
My Thoughts
WOW! Elsewhere is a complete stunner of a book! The whole concept of people dying then aging backwards until they were back to being a baby... then brought back to Earth ...FAB! I loved everything about it! I loved so much I recommended it to most of people and literally forced my firends to read it!
As soon as I started reading it I just knew that I will like it. The atmosphere, the immaculate writing, the charcters- they were all without doubt amazing. There was such simplicity and perfection that I was comletely captivated.
I love Liz. She's small and innocent. She still can't get hold of what's happening to her. Who can? She died. She was still young and desired to do so many wonderful and childful things. She wanted to live her life for just a tad bit longer.
However things in the story do look up as she discovers new likes, new feelings and new people. Liz is at a different world that has to be yet explored. I love Grabrielle's writing! I really hope to read more books by her! :)

Fans of romance don't need to look any further than the fauxmance brewing between teen idols Charlie Tracker and Fielding Withers—known on their hit TV show as Jenna and Jonah, next-door neighbors flush with the excitement of first love. But it's their off-screen relationship that has helped cement their fame, as passionate fans follow their every PDA. They grace the covers of magazines week after week. Their fan club has chapters all over the country. The only problem is their off-screen romance is one big publicity stunt, and Charlie and Fielding can't stand to be in the same room. Still, it's a great gig, so even when the cameras stop rolling, the show must go on, and on, and on. . . . Until the pesky paparazzi blow their cover, and Charlie and Fielding must disappear to weather the media storm. It's not until they're far off the grid of the Hollywood circuit that they realize that there's more to each of them than shiny hair and a winning smile.
My Thoughts
I was really excited reading Fauxmance. It has a unique and alluring title that no other YA book has. I really liked reading it and I finished it in a matter of hours.
Charlie (Jennah) and Aaron (Jonah) are celebrities. Charlie is like one of those bitchy typical celebrities. Most definitely then, she really cares about her image and how she's perceived by others. Aaron at first is called Fielding, his surname, quite a lot and then it changes into his first name Aaron. Quite confusing at first but then after a while I got the hang of it.
I really liked how the book was told in both Charlie's and Aaron's. Sometimes I didn't get whether it was told in Charlie's perspective or Aaron's perspective as the style of writing doesn't change much. However, it can be easily distinguished with them both just thinking so poorly of each other.
I've got to admit there is a whole lot of humour involved. It's really amusing who they think of one another and it's nice to see how their feelings of disgust change into love.
A very enjoyable and lighthearted read!
