Before Luce and Daniel met at Sword & Cross, before they fought the Immortals, they had already lived many lives. And so Luce, desperate to unlock the curse that condemns their love, must revisit her past incarnations in order to understand her fate. Each century, each life, holds a different clue. But Daniel is chasing her throughout the centuries before she has a chance to rewrite history. How many deaths can one true love endure? And can Luce and Daniel unlock their past in order to change their future?

My Thoughts
As soon as I received the manuscript through the post, I didn't waste any time in not reading Passion. With that awesome hell of an ending to Torment, I just had to know how the story will know be leading on. And let me just say this, I was not disappointed. :)

Luce makes one of the most important decisions of her life, as she travels through her past lives, searching for something or anything to tell her more about who she is. Each past life was uniquely fascinating and wonderfully complied. I especially loved how Kate introduced chapters with Daniel's point of view too. It was great getting into his head, sharing his thoughts, frustrations and difficulties.

Daniel is following Luce. Each time he fails in reaching her. He talks to his past self hoping, yearning on some news on his beloved. Okay so call me weird but I find this really funny. Sorry but it's like the's talking to himself. Like imagine that :L ....Anyways, Luce, meanwhile sees her past life Daniel. At first she keeps her distance but then her eventually heart wins as she goes upfront him and takes things further.

OMG. Bill. How can I possibly forget Bill? He's a new character introduced and it's just what the book needed. He accompanies Luce on her journeys. But, he can be really annoying at times. Needless to say, I loved his character. He's very funny, sarky and well mysterious.

Kate takes Passion to a entire new lievel, it's very different from Fallen and Torment however, equally awesome nevertheless.  Her writing, style, well everything about this book is really magical. I absolutely loved reading Passion. I cannot wait to read Rapture! :D

Seventeen-Year-Old Luce is a new student at Sword & Cross, an unwelcoming boarding/reform school in Savannah, Georgia. Luce’s boyfriend died under suspicious circumstances, and now she carries the guilt over his death with
her as she navigates the unfriendly halls at Sword & Cross, where every student seems to have an unpleasant—even evil—history.

It’s only when she sees Daniel, a gorgeous fellow student, that Luce feels there’s areason to be here—though she doesn’t know what it is. And Daniel’s frosty cold demeanor toward her? It’s really a protective device that he’s used again . . . and again. For Daniel is a fallen angel, doomed to fall in love with the same girl every 17 years . . . and watch her die. And Luce is a fellow immortal, cursed to be reincarnated again and again as a mortal girl who has no idea of who she really is.

My Thoughts
WOW! A mystifyingly awesome book.
I completely LOVED it. I read it all in one sitting. It was just that good!

Page after page, the thrilling events all kept me engaged and reading. There was nothing confusing. Everything is plain and simple. Definitely easy to understand.

I love the way Daniel and Luce met. It wasn't the typical cliche- love at first sight. She saw him. He saw her. Then flipped her off. LOL. Very unique I'll say.

The way Daniel's and Luce's relationship grows and deepens is very intense. I like how it develops and how their first kiss is near the end of the book. Its not sudden but something to wait for.

I love the whole concept of angels especially how Daniel's wondrous wings are described. The events are constant and consuming.

Lauren Kate really knows how to keep a reader engaged. A breathtaking read.
Cant wait to read Torment!

In "Torment", fallen angel Daniel and his mortal love Lucinda think they are safe but evil forces are massing against them. As Luce learns more about her past, and discovers that the lives she's already lived hold the key to her future happiness; she starts to wonder if Daniel has told her the whole truth.
What if his version of events isn't the way things happened?
What if that means that she's really meant to be with someone else?

My Thoughts
After reading Fallen, I just knew I had to read the book that followed. Torment was everything I expected it to be. It was as good as the first- packed with twice as much the suspense, action and love.

Luce faces many challenges. She has to make difficult decisions that have been already made by Daniel. But does she follow them? Nope.  I liked her venerability and how she didn't know what to do most of the time.

Fortunately, Daniel appeared in this book quite often. I really love his character. I treasured the moments with Luce and Daniel however, as time passed by, she grew fond of another :(

The most shocking event was the ending. It always the last few moments of the book that surprises me. I can't believe what happened to Luce. It's impossible to figure how the story is going to carry on.

I absoluetly love Lauren Kate's books! I love her writing and the way she expresses it. Fallen was a big hit for me and now I feel the same way with Torment. What can I say. AMAZING!

PASSION is to be released June 14th 2011!
