In Alyson Noel’s most darkly seductive Immortals novel yet, Ever fights for control of her body, her soul—and the timeless true love she’s been chasing for centuries.
Ever is trying to help Haven transition into life as an immortal. But with Haven drunk on her new powers and acting recklessly, she poses the ultimate threat—exposing their secret world to the outside. As Ever struggles to keep the Immortals hidden, it only propels Haven closer to the enemy—Roman and his evil companions
At the same time, Ever delves deeper into dark magick to free Damen from Roman’s power. But when her spell backfires, it binds her to the one guy who’s hell-bent on her destruction. Now there’s a strange, foreign pulse coursing through her, and no matter what she does, she can’t stop thinking about Roman—and longing for his touch. As she struggles to resist the fiery attraction threatening to consume her, Roman is more than willing to take advantage of her weakened state…and Ever edges closer and closer to surrender.
Frantic to break the spell before its too late, Ever turns to Jude for help, risking everything she knows and loves to save herself—and her future with Damen …

My Thoughts
** spoiler alert **Dark Flame wasn't as good as the last book however I am really engaged in this series. Finally, real ACTION was displayed in this book. Now that the antidote has been broken, what's going to happen now? It's a wonder how Damen and Ever are going to be together.

I actually thought that Ever had a thing for Jude with her running to him with every problem she has and using the excuse that Damen won't like whatever she did. When Jude said he 'loved' her I fell of my chair! How dare he? It was always Damen and Ever that are meant to be. It was a big relief when she dissed him, and told Damen everything. It was about time too!

Haven is really starting to annoy me. Frustrating! She doesn't understand the concept of magyic and she acts like she knows everything about it. And how can I possible forget ...I don't even understand what she sees in Roman.

The ending of the book really got me going and I can't wait to read Night Star. And... Oh yeah, Roman dies. :D

  1. oh i think we share the same hate for haven :P
she buggs me so much ! and in the up coming books she's sooo set on trying to kill Ever even though she saved her life and should be gracious to her for that :) great review !

  2. The cover of this one is BEAUTIFUL!Great review, I may have to pick up the series again.

  3. I loved this book but I was a little sad for Roman....

  4. These books look so good! Cannot wait to start the series!

  5. Again can't wait to finally start this series, all of their covers a really pretty!:D
Ha, and thanks for the spoiler alert!

  6. Hate Haven! and yeah, it was really sad with Roman. But I didn't really enjoy this book as much as the previous ones. It started to get kinda...boring after Shadowland. Nonetheless, great review! :D

  7. Love this author, glad you feel the same.
