The Unfortunate Becoming of Gripped into Books AKA Goodbye :(
If you guys haven't realised already, my posts have become pretty infrequent. So, as you guys can tell by the title of this post, I'm leaving. And this time it's not for a couple of months... it's for good. Arghhh! You don't understand how much I'm saddened by the thought of not blogging anymore.
You know, I didn't actually think that this day would come. I've always though of this as one of the things that I would continue doing, like forever! It's just that two things got in the way. Firstly, a little thing called life. I've got SO much going on right now that I'm finding it difficult to prioritise everything. Blogging and reading is something which simply takes too much of my time. That's what it's partly down to, time. I don't have time to do this anymore...
Oh and how can I forget my other main reason which I never ever thought I'll would say in the history of time. Trust me when I say this one is a right humdinger! So, this is what it had all come down to... I've gotten bored of reading. No, really. I'm serious. I can't believe I'm saying this either.
Basically, from February, March time my reading intake started to gradually decrease as I had exams in May so I really devoted most of my time to that. Eventually, there came a time where I didn't read for weeks. I was so immersed in studying (I actually even enjoyed it) that when I picked up a book to read one day, the appeal wasn't there. My lack of interest was so immense that I preferred to pick up one of my study books than to read. Even my favourite books- Anna and the French Kiss, Harry Potter, Vampire Academy did not do the trick! Nothing.
I'm not going to delete my blog though. I've put in a lot of work, time and dedication. Even though Gripped into Books isn't something I can do right now, I'm hoping that in some time, I'll come back to it and carry on doing something that I once loved.
One more thing. I'd also like to take this opportunity to say thank you. Thank you to my followers and readers. Thank you for following this blog. Thank you for making me smile by reading my posts, by taking the time to comment, and by simply supporting this blog. I cannot thank you guys enough. I've made so many friends, met so many great people and boy has it been one heck of an adventure.
I'm really going to miss the blogosphere...

My Blogging Goals for 2012!
Happy New Year everyone!
Wow. 2011 has completely flew by. It's just a year and a few months that I have been blogging. I have accomplished many things, I'm really pleased about how things are going with my blog. Though, now it will have to slow down a notch seeing as college is overwhelming and I really need the extra time to study.
ANYWAYS! These are some things that I really hope in accomplishing this year.
1. Download my blog weekly- Lately, I've been hearing that many bloggers have been losing their blog. Seriously? I do not want that happening with me! I spent so much time and effort with my blog that I just cannot stand the thought of losing everything!
2. Reply to comments and comment on other blogs- I rarely reply to comments on the blog. The main reason being that blogger hasn't got a reply button but I should let that be a problem now seeing as I've worked my way around it. And in commenting in other blogs, I thought that I'll do if I just read the blog posts but nopee.
3. Be more sociable- I do go on Twitter. I reply to my mentions as much as possible and emails but I don't really approach other bloggers that often which I really think I should.
4. Write more reviews!- I do read. This year I actually managed to read 142 BOOKS. Yes! But I really cannot be bothered with reviews. To write and think and write and think! Actually, I think I should find another way in expressing my love for reviews, like a video or something? I have no idea. More thinking!
5. Make Gripped into Books more popular- The blog has around 1600 followers and I get around 300 readers a day. So, I think that I should continue getting more readers and share my love of books more!
6. Stalk authors-I really have a limited amount of author posts on the blog so that should be changed. And, I need to meet more authors, I really lack that!
7. Make a YouTube channel - I haven't got YouTube channel and I do think I should make an account as it can be very useful in blogging. Only then I think would I make videos and actually watch some book trailers.
Okay. I 'll stop there and I just hope I actually can achieve them! Have you got any goals for this year?
Let me know your thoughts :)

Goodbye, For a while
Hi guys.
I just wanted to drop a quick note. I'm sure you've all noticed that I haven't been blogging as much as I usually do. As the post title suggests, I'm going to have to have a blogging break. It's going to be quite a while the least 2 years. I Know! It's such a long time isn't it! The reason for this because, this year I'm going to be taking my A levels. A levels are studies in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that after I take them it will allow me to advance to a Higher Education or University.
I found out that A levels are going to be really hard. Like really really hard. Especially since I'm going to be doing three really hard sujects: Biology, Chemistry and Maths. And so, I want to do as well as I possibly can and get the grades that I want. And, to do that I don't think I can carry on reading books, reviewing them and then blog about them later. It's just going to take a lot of my time.
I am really going to miss blogging and all of you as well. Thanks for everyone who reads my posts, takes the time to comment and stop by. I will try and do the occasional post but there's no promises. I will still go on my twitter @GrippingBooks once in a while so you can follow and tweet me there. Oh and don't worry the blog will still be running my friend, Iram has agreed to fill in my shoes so you can still be updated. If anyone else wants to help just email me on grippedintobooks(at)gmail(dot)com and I will be more than glad to have you on.
Thanks and Bye! =D
A 'Compulsory' Break
Hey everyone!
Something really bad has befallen upon myself and my other blog members. :O And it's not about books LOL. In other words, EXAMS :(
Got you! Right? Didn't think so ;D
So you can figure what comes next 'we need a break' like Ross the wise once said on Friends. Timeout.
It's near the end of the acedemic year and yes I know WHAT A BUMMER!
It means that we won't be writing any posts for the next couple of months, or shall I say me. I seem to be on this blog more than any of the other blog members. I hope they're reading this! :L
I may as well give you guys a list of some books that are MUST reads and will be released while we're on our 'unfortunate break' and some which are going to be release later on this year...
Die for me by Amy Plum
I don't think there's much to say. Just look at the cover to die for!

Bite club by Rachel Caine
If you're not already reading this series. This I assure you, you're missing one hell of an adventure. Ghost Town left me brethless. Bite Club follows. Can't wait!

This is the second book to the series. I havn't read the first one but I've heard many good things about it!
City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
Clare's books are just magic. I was so happy when I found out shes continuing the series! It's better to start from City of Bones if you want to give this series a try. Why shouldn't you? These books are great! :)
Everlasting by Alyson Noel
So, the Evermore series do drag on but this is the last book (finally) and I just need to know how everything ends.
Forever by Maggie Stiefvater
I love trilogies! And this is the last book of the 'Wolves of Mercy Falls'. Werewolves and love! A must read trilogy!
Lola and the boy next door by Stephanie Perkins
I absolutely LOVED Anna and the french kiss so after hearing about this companion novel, I just can't wait to get stuck into it!
